Ⅰ. Introduction
A pressure cylinder is a container for a liquid or gas. Its neck is covered with a plastic liner, which is fully wrapped with fibre material. It has a boss, which is located in the centre of the cylinder head. This is where the valve is located. A valve is a safety device used to prevent a cylinder from overfilling.
A pressure cylinder must also pass stringent tests to be safe to use. The walls of a cylinder should be a minimum of one millimetre thick. These cylinders are also resistant to corrosive elements. For example, a leaking cylinder should not have a thick wall. And it must be designed to withstand high temperatures. Furthermore, the wall thickness of a pressure cylindrical should be uniform throughout.
